A hospital worker has been fired and is also being sued over allegations they infringed Justin Bieber's privacy.
In May, Bieber was admitted to the emergency room at Northwell Hospital in Long Island, New York, due to concerns that a soccer injury had caused a testicular torsion.
This condition occurs when the spermatic cord becomes twisted, cutting off blood flow to the testicles - not a pleasant experience.
Luckily for him, this was found not the case, but the visit did spark unfounded rumours on gossip sites that he was visiting the emergency room for a sexually transmitted infection..
Sources told TMZ that Mr Bieber was not there for an STD, but for the soccer injury.
The hospital sacked Kelly Lombardo after claiming she illegally accessed Bieber's medical records.
Lombardo has since filed a wrongful termination lawsuit with the state's Human Rights Division against the hospital.
New York employment lawyer David H. Rosenberg told TMZ.
My client never accessed Mr. Bieber's medical file and yet she was fired for doing so.
Justin Bieber was also in the news this week after naked pictures of him were reportedly leaked by hackers on his ex-girlfriend's Instagram page.
Several pictures of the pop star - which appeared to be from a 2015 trip to Bora Bora - allegedly appeared on Selena Gomez's Instagram page.
Variety has confirmed that Gomez's account was hacked.
