Many of us remember American Pie, the late 90s and early 00s cult classic comedy about teenagers navigating dating, life, and off-the-wall house parties.
Now Jason Biggs, one of the show’s stars, gave us a startling jolt about the passage of time as he celebrated his 43rd birthday.
Biggs portrayed Jim Levenstein, the lead role in the first three American Pie movies: American Pie (1999), American Pie 2 (2001), American Wedding ( 2003).
Almost 20 years after the last movie, he took Twitter down memory lane, reminding everyone that he was the dude who slept with an apple pie in an infamous scene within this birthday tweet.
“Wanna feel old? That kid who f****d the pie turned 43 today, “ Biggs tweeted.
As a result, people got a shocking wake-up call about just how old they are.
“I know, just thought the same thing and I’m older than that myself... Omg I feel old,” wrote a commenter.
Some playfully mocked the infamous pie.
“It’s not what it looks like!” wrote another.
Others believe that he is so much more than the pie scene.
“There is no way that you meet a stranger who recognizes you & they don’t bring that scene up, & for that my heart hurts for you. For all this time!! You’re so much better than that,” a third person wrote.
Check out some of the other responses.
All in all, it’s safe to say that American Pie still has a place in people’s hearts. Maybe in the future, we will have an “American Pie: The Grandparents” film but hold the pie.
