YouTuber and activist Grace Victory is in an induced coma just days after giving birth to her first child.
Grace is said to have contracted Covid-19 earlier this month, with symptoms described as ‘mild at first’ and worsening following the birth of her baby boy.
She gave birth on Christmas Eve and was placed into intensive care less than 24 hours later, after developing breathing difficulties. She has been placed in the coma in order to rest and recover.
The news was broken on her personal Instagram, in a statement where her condition is described as ‘stable’.
Grace’s child is believed to have been born prematurely, as she had previously disclosed her due date as February. Thankfully, he is described in the post as “doing so well”.
Beloved in many online circles due to her coverage of issues such as body image, mental health and race, Victory has successfully amassed a YouTube following of over 221k over several years, along with a successful book, and numerous television and radio presenting roles.
Following the announcement of her childbirth, she received boundless support from friends and fans.
