It’s been quite the week for YouTuber Jake Paul who has been making headlines following an accusation of sexual assault and then winning a boxing match against former MMA fighter, Ben Askren on Saturday.
But with the controversial star in the spotlight again, an old interaction between Paul and model Gigi Hadid from February 2020 has gone viral again.
Gigi slammed Jake for his tweet claiming her boyfriend, former One Direction member, Zayn Malik had told him to “f*ck off for no reason.” The 25-year-old described in the now-deleted tweet how he, “almost had to clap him [Zayn] up.”
In the full tweet Jake said:
“Almost had to clap up Zane from One Direction because he is a little guy and has an attitude and basically told me to f*ck off for no reason when I was being nice to him,’ the YouTuber tweeted.

“Zane, I know you’re reading this… Stop being angry because you came home alone to your big ass hotel room hahaha. Bro he literally started yelling and freaking the f*ck out. Lol I feel bad for childhood stars.”
Jake Paul came to regret this tweet after Gigi’s response as he then deleted the tweet.
Rather than getting into an online spat with Jake, Zayn let his girlfriend handle the situation where she described Jake as an “irrelevant ugly ass.”
Gigi said in her tweet:
“Lol cause he doesn’t care to hang with you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies? Home alone with his best friends like a respectful king because he has me, sweetie. Unbothered by your irrelevant ugly ass. Go to bed.”
@jakepaul Lol cause he doesn’t care to hang w you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies ..? Home alone wit… https://t.co/5RcQTwbDOX— Gigi Hadid (@Gigi Hadid) 1582461783
The iconic response gained attention and praise on the platform, Gigi’s clap back now has over 802,000 likes and 161,000 retweets.
It also caused Jake to delete his original tweet, luckily most people managed to get a screenshot of it before it was deleted so the Twitter beef will remain online forever.
Over a year later, people are still talking about the time Gigi “ended” the YouTuber boxer.
One person who re-shared the exchange said: “Jake Paul may have won, but don’t forget that pregnant Gigi ended him before.”
May we never forget this iconic piece of internet history.
