When Cat and her wife got a new home, they didn’t know any of the residents in the area. But they soon ran into their neighbours, a gay couple, and things began to escalate.

It all started with their new neighbours assisting them with some DIY and extending social invitations.

But Cat began to feel pressure to reciprocate these nice gestures.

Basically, I am unsettled and am now having to enter into an arms race of niceness. I am already so behind.

She soon offered them cake in return.

Not to be outdone, her neighbours then upped the stakes.

But sadly, all good things come to an end.
