FBI director James Comey really has his work cut out for him.

Yesterday, Comey spoke before the House Intelligence Committee to clarify that the security agency is investigating Russian interference with last year’s US presidential elections.

Then he added that he had no information to support Trump’s tweet accusing Obama of wiretapping, which he posted earlier this month:

That was tweet No.1 he was disputing.

But it wasn't long before Comey had to refute more of Trump's tweets.

Trump was of course tweeting his reactions to what Comey was saying, while watching on live TV:

So far, pretty standard for Trump.

But here's the twist: Comey was then asked if the tweet that Trump had literally just tweeted was accurate.

It turns out, it was not. Comey clarified:

We’ve offered no opinion, have no view, have no information on potential impact because it’s never something that we’ve looked at.

Maybe you should put the phone down and wait until things are over before you tweet.
