Donald Trump's handshake is bombastic.

He uses it as an opportunity to attempt to assert himself.

See him with Mike Pence as a prime example:

Or Rex Tillerson:

He's also taken it on the international circuit. He wants to see if it can cut mustard with the big boys.

Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe fell foul of it.

Look at that poor man. Give his hand back Donald, you're hurting him.

Next came...

Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau:

Grasping his upper arm. Stands in a stable base. Absolutely nullified.

You can even see Trudeau's jaw clench as he engages his core, possibly thinking:

Not today.

Recently Trump has been on a bit of an international jetset. He's travelled to Saudi Arabia, Israeland the Vatican, as part of his first foreign trip.

During this time he met...

President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon:

No need to even brace. Completely outmuscled.

That's got to sting Trump's ego.

There was also a hint of it with...

Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu:

Especially after the speeches.

It's like a bloody arm-wrestle.

However, there was no sign of it with...

Pope Francis:

Thank God. He'd probably snap the 80 year old man if he did the full pull.

Shake responsibly.
