This week Donald Trump accused Obama of “wiretapping” his offices in New York – without giving any evidence whatsoever to back it up.
In a series of very confusing tweets, he wrote:
Obama's spokesperson strongly denied the accusation, made without supplying evidence.
Trump had also received a barrage of accusations earlier this week about administrations contact with Russia, including that his attorney general Jeff Sessions secretly met with Russian officials last year.
Trump then tried to shift blame to Democratic politicians and divert attention:
But Jon Favreau, a former speech writer for Barack Obama, who has been quite vocal in opposition since Trump came into office, tweeted:
But don’t worry, according to Favreau, Obama's wire-tapping was all part of the plan.
Favreau tweeted Obama’s master plan:
1. Wiretap the opposition
2. Gather damaging info
3. Say nothing
4. Let him win
5. Ride off into the sunset
Everything makes sense now.
