Blake Lively just beat Ryan Reynolds' epic birthday message to her

Actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have a history of savaging one another in the public forum, to the delight of their fans.

The couple, who married in 2012 and have two children, have previously used the occasion of a birthday as the perfect time to rib each other.

In August, Reynolds shared a photo of the couple for Lively's birthday.

How sweet.

For Ryan's birthday on Monday, Lively returned the favour. She didn't just do tit for tat though, she one upped the game.

A minute after, she celebrated and self congratulated on the successful crop.
