Democratic congresswoman, and total legend, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has responded to a sexist troll in exactly the way you'd expect her to - perfectly.
On Wednesday, Ocasio-Cortez blasted 'misogynist' critics on Twitter who attempt to paint her as 'dumb', saying that they'd criticise her intelligence no matter what she was able to achieve.
Taking to Twitter, the Democrat wrote:
What, are you sad I don’t speak as our President does, w top hits like “Just grab ‘em by the p—?” Or going on abt turbines & wind cancer?
I could win a Nobel Prize in Physics & they’d still call me dumb. That’s why I don’t give a damn about misogynist takes on my intelligence.
The Bronx Democrat was responding to a tweet from right-wing columnist Kurt Schlichter, who was criticising a piece of artwork Ocasio-Cortez had shared on the website earlier in the day, that featured the slogan 'You can't wait for hope. You have to be hope'. In a caption, she wrote:
Your daily reminder
In response, Schlichter wrote:
I hope you’ll spew better cliches
Come on Kurt, you can do better than that, can't you?
To sum up, don't mess with Ocasio-Cortez, unless you're ready to get burned.
