A Justin Bieber song scared off a grizzly bear

A Justin Bieber song managed to stave off a bear attack. That's according to the Austrian Times, who report a grizzly bear jumped fisherman Igor Vorozhbitsyn in northern Russian - and only retreated after his phone, which had Justin Biber's song Baby as its ringtone, went off.

"I couldn’t believe my luck when the phone went off and he fled. My granddaughter had loaded the ringtone onto my phone for a joke", said Mr Vorozhbitsyn, who is now recovering from his mauling.

A wildlife expert explained: "Sometimes a sharp shock can stop an angry bear in its tracks and that ringtone would be a very unexpected sound for a bear".
