Women are less likely to orgasm with a man than with a woman, study finds

Sorry men, but a study has found that you just aren't getting the job done in the bedroom anymore - and women a more likely to climax in a same-sex encounter.

Researchers surveyed 2,300 women aged 18 to 65 from around the world for their study, which showed that women who sleep with other women can orgasm as much as 55 times a month.

That sounds exhausting, but also very satisfying and is likely to dent the egos of few alpha-male characters.

In contrast, the findings showed that women in heterosexual relationships reached a sexual zenith just 7 times a month, which is a huge difference.

This is despite the results showing that straight couples have sex on average 16 times a month, whereas lesbian couples only engaged in sexual activity ten times a month.

Now, we're not going to go into the various physical and biological ways that this is achieved, as this article would be quickly labelled as not safe for work.

However, the experts have offered a little bit of advice to men that may suggest where they are going wrong when it comes to sex.

Dr Kristen Jozkowski, of the University of Arkansas, is quoted by The Sun as saying:

[Sex with other females]  was excitingly diversified.

Sex that includes more varied sexual behaviour results in women experiencing more orgasms.

Therefore, sex which has a little more foreplay and isn't as quick to get to the penetrative act of the activity is more than likely to end in an orgasm for a woman.

In addition to this, the author of 101 Sex Tips, Rebecca Dakin says:

Men get over-excited and go for penetration far too soon.

A woman needs at least 45 minutes of foreplay before intercourse.

A recent study from Chapman University in Indiana and the Kinsey Institute found that just 33 per cent of straight women orgasm every time they have sex.

Depressingly, a whopping 75 per cent of straight men claimed to climax every time they have intercourse.

That needn't be the case as that study showed that lesbian women orgasm 86 per cent of the time and bisexual women orgasm 66 per cent of the time.

Now, some blokes might be thinking that this will read as a critical judgement of their sexual prowess, which isn't the case.

Nor should it suggest that gay or bisexual women hold some sort of amazing sexual powers.

All it means is that men should perhaps try to may a bit more attention to a women's needs in the bedroom, allow things to play out over an extended period of time and not go for the goal straight away.
