People who've been on an aeroplane in the not-so-distant past may have noticed that some cabin crew keep their hands behind their backs when greeting passengers.

But this has nothing to do with hygiene or security...

Oh no.

What the air stewards are actually doing is discreetly counting the number of people entering the aircraft.

They're not doing this on their fingers.

But most likely no a little click counter like this.
