Donald Trump Jr shared a bizarre edited video of Joe Biden touching himself in response to allegations of inappropriate contact levelled against the former vice president.
Biden released a video statement, which Trump later mocked via the video, in which he promised to be more mindful of people’s personal space going forward, after a number of women claimed he made them feel uncomfortable due to inappropriate or unsolicited physical contact.
The video Trump shared, uploaded by Twitter user Carpe Donktum, read: “Noooooooo Joe, NOT DURING THE APOLOGY!”
In the video, Biden talks about social norms and personal space. He said:
Social norms have begun to change, they have shifted. And the boundaries of protecting personal space have been reset, and I get it. I get it. I hear what they are saying, I understand it. And I will be much more mindful, that’s my responsibility.
The issue of Biden’s touching while on the campaign trail, and in public life, has surfaced after former Nevada assemblywoman Lucy Flores said the vice president came up behind her at a 2014 event and kissed her on the back of the head, leaving her “uneasy, gross, and confused”.
Since then, three women have come forward, including a former aide to Representative Jim Himes.
Biden is known for his tendency to grab women by the shoulders and kiss them on the head, and has often been questioned by observers.
Though many found the light-hearted video amusing, some pointed to Trump Jr's dad, who's had his fair share of scandals, as well as the US president's comment about 'grabbing em by the p***y'
