This volcanologist made business cards because everyone kept making the same joke

People are so predictable.

Reddit user Haleopteryx is a volcanologist - a geologist who studies the formation and activity of volcanoes - or so they say.

Recently they posted to an image of their new business cards to the site, with the caption:

I'm a volcanologist and I really don't know how it took me so long to actually get around to making these...

The cards themselves were a response to the joke Haleopteryx encounters whenever they reveal their profession.

Someone pointed out there was a typo to which Haleopteryx replied:

I put as much effort into these cards as people do coming up with original jokes.

To clear things up, a volcanologist studies volcanoes.

They're not Vulcans.

And Mr Spock wasn't even Vulcan, he was half-Vulcan, half human. Any true fan of Star Trek or The Office will know that.
