Christmas is coming and a bunch of Christians are offended by Starbucks red cups, as that old festive tale goes.
This year the coffee chain caused controversy among some religious groups after opting for a minimalist and less Christmassy cup design.
In the past, Starbucks has adorned its takeaway cups and drink-in mugs with snowflakes and other such stuff famed for evoking scenes of merriment etc.
Starbucks' vice president of design, Jeffery Fields, said 2015's cup was meant to embrace "the simplicity and the quietness" of the holiday season*.
However, the lack of twee Christmas scenes has caused outrage in one branch of the Christian community.
This is a denial of historical reality and the great Christian heritage behind the American Dream that has so benefitted Starbucks.
Andrea Williams of the UK-based organisation Christian Concern told Breitbart.
This also denies the hope of Jesus Christ and His story so powerfully at this time of year.
A Facebook video from self-proclaimed "American evangelist, internet and social media personality" Joshua Feuerstein in which he "tricks" Starbucks into accepting Christ and Christmas has also gained widespread attention.

But it doesn't stop there. Tory MP David Burrowes waded in saying:
The Starbucks coffee cup change smells more of political correctness than a consumer-led change.
The public has a common sense grasp on the reality that at Christmas time, whether you have a Christian faith or not, Britain celebrates Christmas.
To quote Tiny Tim... God bless us, everyone.
*Fields has clearly never been to Oxford Street on Christmas Eve.
