People who watch porn are more likely to shun the patriarchy, according to a new sex study.
Researchers from Western University in Ontario examined the results of the General Social Survey of more than 10,000 men and 14,000 women in the US, and determined having Pornhub bookmarked on your internet browser does not encourage you to treat women like sex objects.

In fact, the study, published in the Journal of Sex Research, indicated those who watched porn within the last year were in favour of gender equality, had positive attitudes towards powerful women and self-identified as feminists.
However, lead researcher Taylor Kohut pointed to one shortcoming in the study. Those who watch porn and are happy to admit they watch porn may well be more likely to hold egalitarian views on sexuality and gender.
In spite of this, the study concluded, the rhetoric surrounding the anti-pornography movement is "unjustified", and suggested porn is not just "making hate to women".
