If you could bottle charisma and sell it in a supermarket then you would become a very rich person indeed.
Everyone would kill to have the ability to capitavate a room of people, or give a speech like a Justin Trudeau or Oprah Winfrey - but it's just not meant to be for some of us.

That doesn't mean that you aren't charismatic in your own right though.
You might not have the biggest personality in your workplace but your charisma and influence can extend elsewhere.
Researchers at the University of Toronto have taken it upon themselves to prove that everyone has charismatic traits in their personality.
Their study, published in NCBI, found six prompts that they think are linked to being charismatic.
All you have to do is take a look at the following six traits, ask yourself "I am someone who..." and rate yourself against them on a scale of 1 to 5.
They are as follows:
- has a presence in a room
- has the ability to influence people
- knows how to lead a group
- makes people feel comfortable
- smiles at people often
- can get along with anyone
Once you have done that divide your total score by six.
This will then reveal your charisma score. If it's higher than 3.7, you can consider yourself more charismatic than average.

The researchers were able to narrow charismatic traits down to just these six categories after conducting studies with nearly 1000 people.
Participants were asked to rate themselves on qualities that are traditionally used to describe a charismatic person.
By doing this they were able to determine that charisma often came down to two key strengths:
- Leadership ability and strength of presence
- Being pleasant and approachable
Each of the six aforementioned prompts are based on influence and affability.
When they received the ratings back from participants they found that their results often matched up with other people's perceptions of that individual.
So, what are you waiting for? Discover what your rating is and don't forget to let us know how you got on.
