Cartoonist shares picture of Serena Williams having a tantrum, gets destroyed on Twitter

A cartoonist shared a picture of Serena Williams 'having a tantrum' at her US Open final match over the weekend and the artist has been called out for the depiction.

Over the weekend Serena Williams was involved in an argument with umpire Carlos Ramos at the US Open Grand Slam during the women's single finals match against Naomi Osaka.

Williams and Ramos began arguing and the confrontation resulted in Williams being penalised a point and even a game.

Further to all this, she has been fined $17,000 for three code violations.

The cartoon is clearly not very flattering and people were quick to point out the race and gender issues in the image.

The artist tried to defend himself with what he deemed was a similar cartoon of male tennis player Kyrgios.

Amazingly, other people thought there was nothing wrong with the cartoon.
