Journalist tells Hannity his show is bad for America. Things get awkward

Sean Hannity appeared as a guest on CBS’ Sunday Morning, where he talked about politics and the news.

Also with him was special contributor Ted Koppel, who accused the Fox News host of escalating the antipathy people feel towards progressive political viewpoints in America.

Hannity was quick to defend himself and his show:

We have to give credit to the American people that they are somewhat intelligent and that they know the difference between an opinion show and a news show.

Koppel however, remained stoic and pressed him on his responsibility as a broadcaster.

So Hannity persisted:

You’re cynical.

Look at – you think we’re bad for America?

You think I’m bad for America?

Wait, is Hannity bad for America?

Koppel’s response to this question was simple, and scathing:

Yeah.

'Yeah'.
