Joe Biden criticised after putting his hands on a 10-year-old-girl's shoulders and telling her she is 'good-looking'

Before Joe Biden announced that he would be running as a Democratic candidate in the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump had dubbed him 'Creepy Joe.'

Of course, this is just another one of Trump's many nicknames that he likes to dish out to his opponents but Biden doesn't do himself any favours by often inadvertently playing up to the name.

During an event held by the American Federation of Teachers in Houston, Texas, the former vice president was asked a question by a 10-year-old girl about how divided the US is right now.

Biden responded with a long answer which touched on the issue of immigration and approached her and promised to write her a formal letter addressing his policy on the subject.

As he lent to talk to her and shake her hand, the 76-year-old said:

I bet you're as bright as you are good looking...

After learning that the girl is interested in becoming a journalist Biden later took her over to meet the associated press and put his hands on her shoulders.

The incident was reported by Washington Post reporter Felicia Sonmez and Twitter users were quick to criticise Biden for his inappropriate actions.

This comes just weeks after Biden responded to claims about him where he had been accused of acting in an inappropriate manner towards women, which he vowed to correct in a video posted on his Twitter account.
