Ivanka Trump has been pictured wearing a hijab during her visit to the United Arab Emirates and supporters of the president are very conflicted.
The daughter and special advisor arrived in the UAE on Saturday to take part in the Global Women's Forum in Dubai and also meeting crown prince sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
While Ivanka is no stranger to that part of the world, images of her wearing a hijab while being shown around the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque have sparked a backlash with many accusing her of showing 'fake support' for Muslim women.
Some Trump fans were less than impressed with what they saw, feeling that she should have taken a stand and made a protest, rather than attempt to please Muslim leaders.
Others felt that she was just showing respect to a place of worship and was not making a case either for or against the hijab.
However, others felt that if she is willing to abide by Muslim traditions she should be willing to talk to her father about Islamophobia.
