The Home Office is charging EU citizens £65 to apply to stay in the UK after Brexit and people are furious

Whatever side of the Brexit debate you were on, we can all agree that no one was precisely sure what would happen next - and most people still aren't.

But with the deadline for Brexit approaching, the Home Office has released a video notifying EU citizens on the next steps to apply for UK citizenship.

Given the sensitive nature of this subject, particularly considering that EU nationals have freely moved and settled in the UK for years and that 48 per cent of voters didn't vote for Brexit in the first place, people aren't happy.

Others highlighted the promises made my prominent Brexiteers in relation to migration before the referendum.

But most controversial was the new information that EU citizens will have to pay £65 per application - a substantial amount of money to secure rights they currently have.
