We didn't really need science to tell us but George Clooney has been confirmed as the most handsome man on the planet.
The 56-year-old actor has long been regarded as a handsome chap, thanks to his devilishly good looks and cool demeanour.
While there might be an objection from David Beckham or Brad Pitt fans as to who is the best looking, research has determined that Clooney is number one.
Using the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi, Dr Julian De Silva found that Clooney's features were 91.86 percent accurate to the formula which is believed to hold the secret to perfection.
The premise of the formula is that the closer an individual's ratios are to the number 1.618 the more perfect they are deemed to be.
De Silva, who runs The Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic And Plastic Surgery in London, used computer mapping technology and applied the theory to some of the world's most famous male faces.
In conclusion, these were men who made the top 10 in De Silva's research.

Overall Clooney was found to have the most perfectly symmetrical face, but it was Ryan Gosling who claimed the prize for the perfect nose.
Harry Styles had the best eyes and chin, while David Beckham had the most perfectly shaped face.
Speaking to the Daily Mail De Silva revealed the factors that gave Clooney victory.
He [Clooney] has beautiful facial symmetry and gets closer than any other man to having what the Greeks considered the perfect face.
George had a near perfect ratio of nose to lip dimension of 99.6 per cent and his chin and eye spacing were almost perfect as well. Across the 12 key markers he had the highest combined score.
The Greek equation has long been used to measure beauty and was even utilised by Leonardo Da Vinci when he made his iconic artwork The Virtruvian Man.
Last year, the Mail also reported on De Silva applying the research to the famous faces of some of the world's most beautiful women.
That study discovered that actress Amber Heard was the most beautiful with a score of 91.85 percent, closely followed by Kim Kardashian, Kate Moss, Emily Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner.
