Game of Thrones fans disappointed with shows finale have been responding with hilarious memes

After eight years, eight seasons, 73 episodes and hell of a lot of death and sex, Game of Thrones has come to an end and there is a lot to talk about.

Warning: This article will obviously contain spoilers for the finale to season eight so if you haven't seen it yet and don't want it spoiled then feel free to move on.

So, now that it is all said and done, this is how it played out and let's just say that a lot of stuff went down.

• The person crowned the 'King of the Six Kingdoms' was not Jon Snow but Bran Stark, possibly the most unpopular character in the entire show.
• Meanwhile, Jon Snow has returned to Night's Watch but not before killing Daenerys after she had gone a little bit mad.
• Elsewhere, Sansa became the 'Queen of the North', Tyrion is the 'Hand of the King' and Arya was left to go and explore what it beyond Westeros. 

Needless to say, the final season of the epic fantasy show has divided a lot of opinions as people are upset with the way the show panned out and they weren't afraid to air their disappointments on Twitter.

The internet trolls have been quick to give the show an utterly terrible score on IMDb.

Maybe, the warning signs were there all along?

However, not everyone was completely distraught and let down.
