Congresswomen Elizabeth Warren and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have posted a video in which they criticised the Game of Thrones finale saying it was clearly “written by men”.

“I feel like we were getting so close to having this ending with just women running the world,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

“And then the last two episodes, it’s like, ‘Oh, they’re too emotional.’ It’s like, ugh, this was written by men!”

Warren, who was rooting for Daenerys Targaryen but switched allegiances to Sansa Stark, was also disappointed in the ending.

"I was really just... meh," said the senator.

They echoed many viewers' thoughts saying the plot was very “male-centric” and Ocasio-Cortez joked that HBO needed some “feminist analysis”.

People have praised the video for its fun yet accurate commentary and shut down critics who claim this is too "trivial" a topic.
