PSA: The earth is not flat.

Despite lots of theories floating around the internet lately about the shape of the earth, it's spherical, not flat, It doesn't matter if Shaquille O'Neill or a man with a spirit level on a plane says it's flat - it's not. (It is however, somewhat resembling a cat).

You can imagine that scientists can get pretty annoyed by people on the internet who claim to know more about the earth than what they've dedicated their whole lives too.

Fortunately, you can drown out people on the internet or mute them. That's not an option when people approach you in real life though.

Nathan Thompson, the founder of the 'Official' Flat Earth and Globe Discussion Page, confronted a man he claims is a Nasa scientist in a Starbucks.

Can we just take a moment to point out and appreciated that the name of the discussion page mentions that the planet.... Is a globe?

The alleged Nasa worker was just trying get a coffee when the conspiracy theorist approached him saying 'the world must be flat' because 'astronauts can drown in space' (we're not sure of the logic there either).

In the video, posted by Thomspon, he claims they had a chat off camera where the scientist gave him some official Nasa stickers (Slightly jealous of that).

I asked him. I said, uh, astronauts have almost died in space. Uh, they get water in their suit and they almost drowned and he said it was because of saliva. This guy right here, hang on, I'm gonna wait for him to get to the front of the line, and then I'm gonna ask him some more questions.

Look, he was all nice. He was all nice. He gave me Nasa cartoon frigging emblems.

And now he won't talk to me at all.

The conspiracy theorist then gets more aggressive, asking him if he 'hates America'.

Come on, you won't chat with me? You hate Americans? Is that it?

The 'Nasa scientist' then replied, clearly annoyed but remaining calm.

Excuse me?

How the hell did you get that? Don't ever accuse me of that again. I don't have to chat with you. Step over there, ok? I'm done talking to you.

Thompson then leaves the coffee shop and steps outside saying he 'wants to get out of here before the police come'.

Well I just got kicked out of Starbucks for asking a Nasa employee questions, cuz he's LYING. He's a blatant LIAR. What a JOKE that was! Now we're outside. Beautiful America. Man that was ridiculous. I GOT Nasa FRIGGING STICKERS FROM THE Nasa EMPLOYEE, GUYS! And then I start asking him questions and he told me to go outside of Starbucks; I'm frigging shaking. Oh. My. Lord
