The Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin saga doesn't look like it is going to end anytime soon.

The leaders of the United States and Russia respectively, officially met for the first time this week at the G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany.

Fireworks were expected, as people believed that President Trump might accost the Russia president over allegations of election fixing and over relations with North Korea.

It seemed a little muted.

However, Trump has now claimed that the duo did discuss election hacking and how to bolster cyber security.

It's hard not to notice that might be a little counterintuitive.

Twitter obviously couldn't resist making a few very obvious jokes.

A lot of people suggested that this posed a dangerous precedent, especially when he is vowing to guard hackers.

While those are all chilling prophecies, political writer Sarah Kendizor hit the nail on the head when explaining that Russia didn't just hack the election.

Regardless of whether Russia hacked them or not, Putin dismissed the claims with a chuckle.
