What happened when a Donald Trump supporter 'told journalist to get out of their country' - in front of Trump

A video of Donald Trump ejecting a journalist from a 2015 press conference has gone viral in the wake of the US President’s divisive immigration ban.

Jorge Ramos, a journalist at Spanish-language network Univision, can be seen putting to Mr Trump that he “cannot deport 11 million people, you cannot build a 1,900 mile wall, you cannot deny citizenship in this country”.

Before Mr Ramos finishes his question, Mr Trump tells him to “go back to Univision”, adding “sit down”, before signalling to his security team to have the journalist removed.

Mr Ramos says as he is bundled out of the door.

I’m a reporter and I have the right to ask a question.

A Trump supporter can then be heard saying: “You were very rude. It's not about you,” adding:

Get out of my country.

“I'm a US citizen, too,” Ramos replies.

“Yeah, well, whatever,” the man says. “Univision, no.”

Mr Ramos was later allowed to re-enter the press conference, where he asked Mr Trump:

How are you going to deport 11 million people? Are you going to bring in the Army?

“We'll going to do it in a very humane fashion. Believe me. I have a bigger heart than you do,” Trump said.

Mr Trump later made reference to a $500m lawsuit he had opened against Univision after it severed ties with him over his remarks about Mexicans being "rapists".

At the time Mr Trump’s organisation had an agreement with the Spanish-language network that it would broadcast a Miss USA beauty pageant.

“How much am I suing Univision for right now? Do you know the number? I know you're part of the lawsuit,” Mr Trump said.
