Donald Trump is set to deliver a commencement address at Liberty University, a private evangelical institution which refers to itself as the "largest Christian university in the world".
He confirmed this personally to the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) in an exclusive interview.
The university banned an LGBT group from speaking in 2006, citing “morality,” and its Student Code of Honour prohibits students from engaging in non-"biblically ordained" sexual relations.
Sexual relations outside of a Biblically ordained marriage between a natural-born man and natural-born woman are not permissible at Liberty University.
University President Jerry Falwell denied accusations that his university was 'homophobic' after a student complained that a custom-ordered Psychology book was missing the chapter on sexual motivation and orientation.
Falwell claims that Donald Trump had approached him for the role of education secretary, but he turned it down for personal reasons.
According to CBN the president calls it an “honour” to be able to speak at the university.
Our children truly are the future and I look forward to celebrating the success of this graduating class.
A veteran’s partner was recently denied a tuition discount to the University for military spouses because they were in a lesbian relationship.
Any scholarship, voucher, grant, benefit, or other assistance, funded by or facilitated at the discretion of Liberty University, that is made available to spouses of military service members or veterans due to their status as such, will only be available to ‘spouses’ as defined by Liberty University as a husband or wife of a service member who together are in state-sanctioned marriage and are natural-born members of the opposite sex.
