This journalist called the airstrikes on Syria 'beautiful' and quoted Leonard Cohen

MSNBC journalist Brian Williams, called the US strikes on Syria “beautiful” three times in one disturbing interview.

Williams included in his pro-war gush an un-ironic quote from Leonard Cohen.

The fifty-nine Tomahawk cruise missiles fired from two US Navy ships in the Mediterranean killed six people were killed, according the Syrian army.

But somehow, Williams saw beauty in such violence.

He told an MSNBC anchor:

We see these beautiful pictures at night from the decks of these two US navy vessels in the eastern Mediterranean.

I am tempted to quote the great Leonard Cohen, ‘ I’m guided by the beauty of our weapons’.

And they’re beautiful pictures of fearsome armaments, making what is for them a brief light over this airfield.
