An image of a council worker fixing a water main break near a woman's home has gone viral thanks to his obvious dedication.
Andrea Adams, from Hood County, Texas, came to inspect the situation and found the Acton Municipal Utility District employee upside-down completely submerged as he tried to fix the pipe.
"When I walked back outside the kid was in there," Ms Adams told WFAA.
She took a photo and posted it on Facebook where it was shared thousands of times. She has since deactivitated her page because of the volume of comments and requests for comment she was receiving.
The council worker, who has been named locally as 23-year-old Jimmy Cox, says he can't believe the attention has garnered, and only took the call to pick up some overtime.
"In this line of work, people do it a lot," he said.
